Would make againChef notes
This was actually one of the first things I ever made. Brownies are what got me into baking in the first place. The key is not overbaking them. They should look slightly underdone when you pull them out because they keep cooking in the pan. Fudgy in the middle with slightly crispy edges is the goal.
Ingredients
- Dark chocolate
- Butter
- Sugar
- Brown sugar
- Eggs
- Vanilla extract
- All-purpose flour
- Cocoa powder
- Salt
Recipe
- 1.Preheat the oven to 350ยฐF. Grease an 8x8-inch baking pan and line with parchment paper.
- 2.Melt butter in a large microwave-safe bowl in 20-second intervals, stirring between each, until fully melted. Add sugar and cocoa and whisk to combine. Whisk in the eggs, vanilla, and salt.
- 3.Add flour and chocolate chips and fold with a spatula until just combined. Spread into the prepared pan.
- 4.Bake 35โ40 minutes for fudgy brownies (toothpick should come out with a little smear of batter), or up to 55 minutes for cakier brownies. Cool completely in the pan before slicing.
